The Benson Brothers play a mixture of jazz standards and more open jazz forms. We focus on giving our music an oldschool charm, simplicity and warmth.
The trio is made up of saxophone, drums, and double bass. Having no chordal instrument means there is a lot of aural space to fill up which lends to a playfulness, making the music so exciting to be around. We do also have the option of adding a pianist, if requested.
We play regularly at Mojo Coffee on Bond Street in Wellington and have brought our music to plenty of weddings and corporate functions. Have a listen to our live recordings to see if we are the right band for your next event.
